I’ve always liked the slow and careful way large ships are guided into port. My favorite for a long time was whenever a cruise ship would come into Nawiliwili on Kauai since that breakwater is super narrow and the Marriott there has a front row seat. It also takes being a morning person - that’s my quiet time so I dig it.

Yesterday we got to see our friends Suz and Graeme who took us to an amazing restaurant (Touch Wood) at an amazing place (the new Sydney Fish Market). My folks loved it as well and it was the highlight of an otherwise quiet day where we all turned in early to get catch-up sleep.
